We had such beautiful weather this week.

I stopped by here to take pictures after a Bikram Yoga session.

Such nice architecture - replica of the Palais de la Legion d'Honneur in Paris.
There is also a mini-replica of the Lourvre Pyramid designed by I.M. Pei.

I walked into my house at midnight on Tet to bring in "good luck" for the year.

So I roamed the few steps outside my house for 5 cold & long minutes prior to the strike of midnight.

My light always appear dark in pictures.

This is the picture I turned in for my first photography shooting assignment. Our goal was to photograph our "special place" and have the picture show exactly what it was about that place that was special.

This is my house and I have the flowers in the foreground of the shot, because my favorite time of the year is the couple of months when all the flowers, cherry blossoms, magnolias, whatever trees bloom all along my street. My teacher seemed to like it. He thought I went out of my way to crouch down and crawl through the bushes to take this shot, but honestly I am pretty sure I was standing up straight. I'm just short.

Tips from my photography class teacher about improving in portrait photography.
1. It is better to get as close as possible to the person or people you're photographing. Half the distance and half it again if you can.
2. Try to fill the frame of the photo with the person. The photo is bad if the person being photographed is a tiny speck.
3. Also, usually your subject should be anywhere except in the center point of the photo. Pictures are usually more interesting if they have an asymmetrical balance.

Random chair I think makes the picture sorta interesting, because it's like "Why is it there?" and the light hits it quite nicely. I used to run around the entire lake in high school (5.41 miles) during my cross country days. These days I would most likely get a heart attack and die.

I suck at painting nails, they run all over my skin :D

Review: I like the color a lot. However, the paint brush is very skinny. Therefore, it made applying the paint much harder on the nails because it would streak and run out of paint quickly.

(or maybe it's all because the bottle is half empty and I couldn't get enough paint on the brush....)

Even when my car died on me today, I had people come rushing to help me--even strangers!

Maybe I should stop questioning why things may seem the way they are, and just enjoy what I have now. And start learning how to live in the moment
